Last night Lexi had her very first SLUMBER PARTY!!!! I'm screaming because, as it turns out, that's what nine almost nine year-olds do at a slumber party. "IS IT TIME FOR CAKE?!?!" "LET'S OPEN PRESENTS!!" "WE HAVE TO BRUSH OUR TEEEEEEETH!!!!!" Yowsa!
Lexi has lovely friends who get along well and smile the entire time they are together. When they arrived they spent the entire first hour singing karaoke in the media room. Hearing singing and laughter for one straight hour is music to a mother's ears. The rest of the evening was one excited squeal after another. Singing, dancing, eating, and so much giggling.

| Pizza makes everyone smile. |
 |
| I attempted Boston Cream Pie cupcakes. Lexi LOVED them. |
 |
| How could this angel be turning 9?? |
 |
| The glow ice cubes were a big hit. Also, this was the loudest rendition of "Happy Birthday" I have ever heard! |
I fully expected the squealing and giggling to go on all night, but
around 9:30 or so it was clear that the girls were very concerned about
getting enough beauty sleep. They asked me many times if they had to go
to sleep, and at one point Lexi declared, "Oh my goodness! It's 9:33!
I'm going to get my book." By 11pm most of the giggles had fizzled
out, and the lights were out for the night.

| They all had perfect hair styles. |
Bright and early at 6am the girls were up and ready for action. More dance parties, karaoke, and some yummy breakfast. By around 8:30 they were completely pooped and zonked out in front of the tv until moms and dads began arriving.
Overall it was a wonderful party. Lexi reports that it was absolutely perfect, so therefore - mission accomplished.
