This summer, Ahren and I decided that we really wanted to take the kids to Boston and do all the things that tourists do when they visit our city. We are actually in Boston quite a bit (Ahren, of course, every day), but we typically do the museums and restaurants and almost never do the outdoor fun stuff. So I scheduled us the most fun, jam packed long weekend I could manage and I think it was a big hit!
Thursday, Day 1: LegoLand!

| LegoLand was fun (for the kids) but Zach was exhausted and not pleased with the long walk back to Wellington. |

| We took the T to Daddy's office to pick him up, and then we all walked to the Marriot Long Wharf where we stayed during our trip. We were pretty happy with the view from our room. |

| It was fun being able to watch all the hustle and bustle from the room. |
On Thursday evening we met Auntie Michelle, Uncle Joe, Jude and Ronea for dinner at The Living Room. We had so much fun together that we never thought to stop and take a picture! After dinner the kids played on the playground and had a blast. We loved having them join us for dinner and start our Boston Vacation off on a great foot!
Friday, Day 2:

| After our morning Codzilla ride, we went down to Fanuiel Hall and Quincy Market for lunch. The kids spied this cool "statue". |

| Lexi got to drive the boat under the Longfellow Bridge!! At the end of our ride, our tour guide, Professor Quackenstein, invited Lexi to come back next year to drive on the roads! :) |

| On our way back to the hotel, we met up with Snap Boogie from America's Got Talent. Zach helped him out by holding his microphone. |

| After dinner at The Hard Rock Cafe, we walked over to the North End to let the kids experience the best Italian pastry Boston has to offer. |

| We hitched a ride back to the hotel with a rickshaw. The BEST way to travel in the city. |

| The kids were pretty happy with our treats, and very happy to call it a day. We certainly packed it in, and we had a blast! |
Saturday, Day 3:

| On our last day we started the day with a tour of the Freedom Trail with Boston By Little Feet. It was a bit beyond Zach, but we lured him along with the promise of mints at each stop. |

| After our tour, we grabbed another rickshaw to Copley for lunch and then Blue Man Group! |

| Both kids were a bit unsure about Blue Man Group, but they ended up LOVING it. They both giggled through the entire show and had an absolute blast. However, they were not interested in having their picture taken with the blue man. This is Zach playing the wall tubes with the blue man in the background. |

| Blue Man Group was the last stop on our tour. When we got back to our hotel, Daddy went off to get the truck while we strolled around the area. Within about two minutes of being in the car, Zach was sound asleep. |
We are all so glad that we took the time for this mini-vacation this summer. We only just scratched the surface of what Boston, our own backyard, has to offer. We are already looking forward to going back for more.
